New York City Fashion Editor – I’m Trying These 6 Spring Work Outfits

With office life starting back up for most people (myself included), I’m reminded of the challenges of dressing for work in warmer temperatures. The balance between looking professional, feeling comfortable and being trendsetting can be difficult to achieve. With so many modern updates to suit trends, there are more options for warm weather workwear than ever before.

For inspiration, I’ve gathered my favorite outfits from some of the hippest people on the Internet. Staple pieces include blazer undershirts, long shorts, circle skirts and bright colored pants. These pieces can be paired with some of your favorite work essentials and accessorized with chic accessories.

I’ve purchased each of the trends below so you can add these trends to your rotation, grab a new essential for work or pick up a sophisticated belt, bag or pair of shoes.

Loose fitting blazer shorts are at the top of my work wish list. Paired with an oversized white button-down shirt, kitten heel mules and an oversized tote, this set is both sophisticated and functional.

Not only is the undershirt the quintessential transitional piece, it also blends seamlessly into warm workwear. Pair it with your go-to pants and chic black leather accessories for an instantly radiant look.

The ballgown style is currently everywhere and is the perfect spring/summer work dress. Pair it with a neutral colored cardigan, practical ballet flats and a practical tote bag to finish off your look.

The tan shorts set is a very solid warm weather work option. Pair with a pair of neutral sneakers and a sculptural gold hoop earring for a casual look.

Round mid-length skirts also appear in dress sets, just like the classic Dior Bar Suit. Opt for a short blazer, popular sculptural peep-toe pumps and an embellished bag.
