From Scandinavians to Parisians: 6 Trends Every Fashionista Is Wearing

The last days of Paris Fashion Week have finally come to an end, and with that, we can call it the conclusion of S/S 23 fashion month. Given the absolute number of visitors, the climate differences and the different style aesthetics of each location, you wouldn’t expect trends to overlap, but they do exist. After combing through hundreds of photos taken by our commissioned photographers, I can assure you that the fashion collections look more in sync than ever before. I’ve been able to narrow down common themes each week, whether they’re designed in a Parisian chic way or as loud and maximalist as a true Scandinavian.

We’ve given you a full trend report for each city’s street style set, but here are six styles that are strong enough to cross borders. Discover a plethora of trends – some of which look like they were plucked from the runway like a striking splash of red. To find out the rest, all you have to do is keep scrolling. If you want to try them on for yourself, you’ll find what the most stylish attendees are wearing and the pieces available for purchase.

Red

Every season, there are always colors that stand out, but not since the days of Bottega Green have I seen a color gain as much traction as red. Not only was chili red found on the runways of Tory Burch and Sandy Liang, but I spotted striking shades on audiences in at least every city.

Cowboy is Everywhere

We’ve always been big fans of the Canadian tuxedo, but this fashion month, the look has reached new heights. The streets were filled with not only coordinating jackets and jeans, but also denim jackets, shoes, tops, and most importantly, dresses.

The rosettes

During fashion month, show attendees have a lot of looks to plan, so rosettes are an easy and accessible way to add a special touch to a look.

Long Skirts

Long skirts, straight skirts, denim skirts – each type of long skirt dominated Fashion Month. They are much more practical than the miniature minis of the past, so it makes sense that the trend was spotted in all cities.

Clutch Bags

I usually find clutches at weddings or special events, so I was surprised to see so many people on the street going to shows. And these aren’t your average tote bags either, as there are a variety of styles, from furry options to XL sizes.
